Department Introduction (History and Present)
The Biotech EMBA program promotes distinctive teaching methods such as problem solving, case teaching, big data and innovative management, and has established the Wings Camp, a special freshman orientation program, medical field practical experience, Junwei International Master Lectures and global mobile teaching courses. The course also brings together the medical system of the National Taiwan University of Health Science and strong domestic and foreign faculty, and invites internationally renowned scholars from the United Kingdom, the United States, Japan, Australia and other countries to serve as lecture professors. The alumni are the top elites from various industries, and they have jointly created a teaching and research interactive and cross-border co-creation between teachers, students and alumni. Over the years, they have achieved remarkable results. Entrepreneurial students have formed teams to win international hackathon competitions, the National Business Management Cup case competition championship, and the Chongyue Paper Award for Outstanding Papers. Classmates have co-founded new businesses and established new businesses. After graduation, students can also return to school to recharge and learn throughout their lives. In addition, the Biotech EMBA has the mission of cultivating biotech elite leaders who are both talented and virtuous and have good intentions for the world, jointly creating global sustainable development goals, promoting human health and well-being, and continuing to move forward at a high speed in Shenzhen and Guangzhou, building a golden bridge for cross-domain innovation and creation of new situations among industry, government, academia and research.
Future Vision and Goal of the Department
The EMBA in Biotechnology at the School of Management of Taipei Medical University aims to cultivate senior managers and future business leaders in the biotechnology field with a global vision. We combine the four hospitals and two centers of Taipei Medical University with global industry-government-academia resources, with the curriculum concept of "borrowing from innovation, seizing opportunities to create, cross-border win-win, and honest thinking". We hope that the alumni who join us will have a macro global biotechnology industry vision, keep pace with the times and work in harmony with the world; build a sensitivity to perceive opportunities and open up niche advantages; embrace the enthusiasm for change and open up a win-win and sustainable health ecosystem; internalize the honest thinking of mindfulness and compliance, practice the high responsibility of enterprises to society, and ultimately strive to bring a better future to mankind.
